Public Meeting - Maidenwell
- A public meeting to discuss a proposal to build a battery storage system next to the Ellesmere substation will be held at Maidenwell Hall at the corner of Pool Street and Coomba Waterhole Road in Maidenwell from 7:00pm to 8:00pm tonight. Organisers believe the project - which will sit on 6 to 8 hectares of land that would otherwise support 6 to 8 cows - represents a threat to food security. Everyone is welcome.

Goomeri To Kingaroy Shopping Bus
- Graham House will be running a shopping bus between Goomeri and Kingaroy today. The bus will pick up customers from their Goomeri address at 8:30am and transport them to Kingaroy Shoppingworld (or other destinations if arranged beforehand), then make a return journey to Goomeri at around 12:00 noon. Tickets on the bus are $15 per person return and the bus runs fortnightly on Tuesdays, but places are limited so a booking is necessary. - The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous - Nanango
