SBRC General Meeting - Kingaroy

The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding its monthly General Meeting at the Warren Truss Chambers inside its offices in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 9:00am this morning to ratify decisions made at sub-committee meetings and attend to other items of business. Interested people can view the meeting in person or via a livestream on the Council's website.

Wednesday Night Dance Classes - Inverlaw

Spirit Of The Bush Balladeers & Heritage Muster - Boondooma

The second day of the six-day Spirit Of The Bush Balladeers & Heritage Muster will be held at Boondooma Homestead at 8262 Durong-Mundubbera Road, Boondooma today. This popular annual campout week features lots of Australia's top bush balladeers and poets (more than 20 will be appearing at the Muster this year) along with walk-up artists. The Muster routinely attracts 700 to 800 caravanners plus day-trippers and in addition to lots of non-stop music there'll also be great camp oven meals, a licensed bar, BBQ, stalls, and displays of vintage cars and engines, photography and historical items. Today's activities will focus on walk-up acts, but at 5:00pm this evening there'll be an Open Mic concert in the Homestead's barn. Admission to today's Muster is $10 (bring cash - there's no EFTPOS on site). Bush camping is also available and can be booked by phoning the Homestead's caretakers on (07) 4168-0159. Project Planning Workshops - Wondai & Proston

The South Burnett Regional Council will be running a Project Planning Workshop at the Wondai library in Mackenzie Street, Wondai from 9:00am to 11:00am this morning. The workshop is aimed at artists, artsworkers, not-for-profit groups, clubs and organisations and it will show participants how to put together all the necessary information for a project from concept to completion to support a grant application. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy

The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
