Proston Golden Spurs Campdraft
Day 3 of the three-day Proston Golden Spurs Campdraft will kick off at the Proston Showgrounds on the Proston-Boondooma Road, west of the CBD, at 6:30am this morning. Golden Spurs is a major fundraiser for the Proston Pony Club. Today's action will feature Open rounds and final and the Novice final. Biggest Morning Tea - Blackbutt
- The Bunya Nut Cafe, at 39 Coulson Street, Blackbutt, will be hosting a "Biggest Morning Tea" from 11:00am this morning as a fundraiser for Cancer Council Queensland.
Mini Roos Carnival - Nanango
The Nanango Panthers will be hosting their huge annual Mini Roos Carnival for U6s to U13s all day today at the Alan Downie Sports Fields in Burnett Street, Nanango.
Senior Soccer - Kingaroy
- Kingaroy Senior Soccer Club will be hosting double-header games from the Darling Downs Community competition at their grounds at Tom Alford Oval in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy, today. Kingaroy Division 1 will play West Wanderers at 11:00am followed by Division 2 taking on Chinchilla Grizzlies at 1:00pm. Spectators are urged to come along and support the local teams in action! Open Day - Taabinga Homestead
- The historic Taabinga Homestead at 7 Old Taabinga Road, Haly Creek, will be holding a special Open Day today from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Entry is $10 (cash only) which includes a tour of the homestead and outbuildings. Morning and afternoon tea will be available. Murgon Community Picnic
- A community picnic will be held in QEII Park, in Lamb Street, Murgon, from 11:30am to 2:00pm today. There'll be a free sausage sizzle, free drinks, lawn games and live music. BYO chair or picnic blanket.
Hivesville Country Markets
The monthly Hivesville Country Markets will be held at the Hivesville Sportsground (in Edwards Lane, Hivesville) from 7:00am to around noon this morning. These family-friendly markets are held on the 4th Sunday of every month (except December) and feature a variety of stalls including fresh local farm produce, plants, crafts and lots of food. New stallholders are very welcome, too!
Devonshire Teas - Hivesville
- Hivesville QCWA will be opening the doors at their rooms in Main Street from 7:00am to noon this morning to offer visitors Devonshire Tea to coincide with today's Hivesville Country Markets. There'll also be preserves, plants and bric-a-brac for sale! Cash only.
Harvest Share & Swap - Yarraman
- A free community produce swap is held every Sunday from 9:00am to 10:00am at The Pink Flamingo, 19 Toomey Street, Yarraman. This is an opportunity to share your unwanted produce, seeds or seedlings.

Free Sunday Lunch - Kingaroy
- A free community lunch is available every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at The Old Railway Station building, O'Neill Square, in Kingaroy. The Community Serving Community Meals Project is co-ordinated by the South Burnett Support Alliance and relies on volunteers from the local community.
