Winter Race Meeting - Wondai
The South Burnett Race Club will be holding its annual Duff Memorial Race Meeting at the Wondai race track in Baynes Street today. Today's trackside action will feature five races, an on-course TAB; live telecasts of interstate races and interstate betting fluctuations; a vigorous undercover betting ring; a great BBQ and bar. Gates will open at noon; the bar will open at 1:00pm; and the first race will leave the barriers at 1:30pm. The fashion theme is "Winter Wonderland". Everyone is welcome and admission is just $10. NB. This race meeting has been rescheduled from May 31.
Rural Sketchers South Burnett - Kingaroy
- The Rural Sketchers are a group of local artists who meet together on the first Saturday of every month at a different location to practice some plein air art. They'll be meeting today from 9:00am at the Old Railway Station building in O'Neill Square, Kingaroy.
Ringsfield House Open Day - Nanango
- Historic Ringsfield House, 41-45 Alfred Street, Nanango, is hosting an Open Day today! Local artists will be featured in the art gallery from 9:00am to 12:30pm, plus tea and scones will be available on the verandah for $10.00 per person from 9:00am to 11:00am.
Nanango Country Markets
The Nanango Show Society will be holding their regular monthly Country Markets at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street from 6:00am to around 12:00 noon today. As usual, the markets will feature a wide variety of craft stalls, new and used goods, plants, poultry and pets, but they'll be operating in a COVID Safe way. The Nanango Markets are the largest rural market in south east Queensland and attract up to 420 stallholders. But new stallholders are always very welcome too! More info? Saturday Library Day - Maidenwell
- The volunteers from the Maidenwell QCWA will be supervising the regular weekly Saturday Library Day (featuring books loaned from Kingaroy Library) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. A library day is held in the Maidenwell Hall in Pool Street every Wednesday and Saturday.
Pig On The Spit Night - Wooroolin
The Grand Hotel on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin will be holding their monthly Pig On A Spit Night from 5:30pm until late this evening. Apart from a great roast pork meal there'll also be a Lucky Door prize, raffles and live music by Natalie Fenton. Tickets are $32.50 for adults, $21 for pensioners, $16 for high school students and $10 for primary school children (U5s are free). Senior Soccer - Kingaroy
Kingaroy Senior Soccer Club will be hosting a Division 2 game from the Darling Downs Community competition at their grounds at Tom Alford Oval in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy, this evening. Kingaroy’s Division 2 team will take on Oakey at 5:00pm. The canteen will be open with hot dinners and cold drinks. Spectators are invited to come along and support the local team in action!
