Dinner With The Champions - Kingaroy
SOLD OUT: The 2025 Dinner With The Champions - a major annual fundraiser for the South Burnett's Relay For Life effort - will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall from 5:30pm this evening (for a 6:00pm start). This year's semi-formal dress dinner will feature talks by special guests Jason Akermanis, Trevor Gillmeister and Emily Seebohm OAM. There'll also be an auction of great sporting memorabilia during the night, along with a big silent auction. Tickets are $120 per head and they can be booked online. Note: This dinner is fully booked out.
Churchyard Op Shop Markets - Nanango
- The Anglican Churchyard Op Shop, at the corner of Drayton and Burnett Streets in Nanango, will be open from 7:30am to around 11:30am today. There'll be stalls selling plants, craftwork, books, bric-a-brac and lots more, as well as a $3 sausage sizzle and tea and coffee for a gold coin donation. Fourplay - Nanango
The Nanango Theatre Company will be putting on their last two performances today of their latest productions, four one-act plays, at their theatre on the corner of Elk and George streets, Nanango. There'll be a matinee performance at 2:00pm followed by an evening show at 7:00pm. Tickets are $25 for adults or $20 for concessions, and they can booked online.
Saturday Library Day - Maidenwell
- The volunteers from the Maidenwell QCWA will be supervising the regular weekly Saturday Library Day (featuring books loaned from Kingaroy Library) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. A library day is held in the Maidenwell Hall in Pool Street every Wednesday and Saturday.
Stonehouse Open Day - Moore
The historic Stonehouse on the D'Aguilar Highway at Moore will be holding Day 1 of its Open Day weekend today. This annual Open Day weekend will allow visitors to inspect progress on the restoration of this historic Brisbane Valley property by new owners Loretta and John Eastwood, but because parking on the site is limited access will be by shuttle bus only. Buses will be running every 15 minutes from the rotunda off the highway in Moore to the Stonehouse (from 8:30am to 4:00pm). Tickets are $10 (or $30 for a family of two adults any any number of children 12 years of age or below). Christmas In July - Blackbutt
- The Blackbutt Social Group will be holding a Christmas In July dance with a rock'n'roll theme from 6:30pm tonight at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall, in Bowman Road. Rugby League - Nanango & Kingaroy
The Nanango Stags will be celebrating their Heritage Day at Fred Kassulke Oval in Nanango, with a big day of junior football games from U6s through to U12s played across four fields. The club will also be saluting its 1970 and 1977 Grand Final teams. The day will culminate with an Under 14s SBRL game between Nanango and Murgon at 4:15pm. At Kingaroy's T.J. Christmas In July - Nanango
- A Christmas In July three-course feast will be held from 6:00pm tonight at Ringsfield House at 41-45 Alfred Street, Nanango. Tickets are $40 with proceeds going towards the preservation of this historic house. Tickets can be booked online

Australian Rules - Kingaroy
South Burnett Saints' three Australian Rules teams will be in action at Lyle Vidler Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy, today against University Cougars' teams: Under 13.5s at 11:30am, women at 1:00pm and men at 2:45pm. Entry is free and spectators are invited to come along and cheer the local teams!
Junior Motorcycle Speedway - Kingaroy
- CANCELLED The weather has played havoc with the Kingaroy Junior Motorcycle Speedway Club's schedule this year so the "Junior Bees" will be hoping everything goes to plan today (fourth time lucky!). The club will be hosting a big catch-up day (Club Days 1, 2, 3 & 4) on the main oval of Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy (but use the Avoca Street entrance) with racing from around 10:00am through until this afternoon. - All men and young blokes have been invited to the 55th meeting of the Barambah Shed Men, which will be held this afternoon at the Ian Reynold's Shed, 869 Oakey Creek Road, Cinnabar. This meeting's guest speakers will be Ian and John van Harskamp. Everything will get under way at 4:00pm and the $15 cost includes a meal, dessert, soft drinks and tea/coffee (under 15s are free). Dusty Hill Winter Music Festival - Moffatdale
- Dusty Hill Vineyard in Moffatdale is hosting its inaugural Winter Music Festival from 4:00pm to 11:30pm tonight. This event will feature Open Season Band, Henpeck and (from 4:00pm) Pop Standen. There'll also be free overnight camping on the grounds (no power, BYO swag or tent) but no pets or BYO are allowed. Cost is $49 for adults or $19 for children (age 15 and under); under 5s are free. Come & Try Dragon Boating - BP Dam
The Barambah Dragons dragon boat club invites people to try out the ancient Chinese sport of dragon boat racing at Bjelke-Petersen Dam from 9:00am (for a 9:30am paddle-off) on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Paddles and gear will be supplied but participants should wear closed shoes that can tolerate getting wet and bring along sunscreen, water, a towel and warm clothes for afterwards. The event is free and will be followed by a gold coin donation sausage sizzle. Everyone is welcome! NB. Check the club's Facebook page as times could change due to the weather.
