Friday Afternoon Social Golf - Proston
The Proston Golf Club on Brigooda Road, Proston will be resuming its Friday afternoon social golf games today. Names need to be in by 2:00pm for a 2:30pm tee-off, and will conclude around 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Green fees are just $7 and everyone is welcome. Afterwards, the clubhouse will also be reopening today for a maximum of 20 patrons indoors and 20 outdoors, and so will the golf club's free camping area for visitors. More details? Royal Hotel Reopens - Yarraman
- The Royal Hotel on the D'Aguilar Highway in Yarraman will re-open for dining and sit-down drinks sessions for up to 20 people in each of the hotel's dining areas today. Full table service will be provided for both drinks and food, and all COVID-19 restrictions will be observed. Com.Pub Reopens
- Kingaroy's popular Commercial Hotel at the corner of Glendon and Haly Streets will reopen from 10:00am today. The hotel has four COVID-safe sections that can accommodate 20 customers each, but pokies will be off-limits for the present. You can read more about this on our website.
Freecamps Reopen
- Free 48-hour caravan parking areas at Benarkin, Tipperary Flat, Stuart River, Wooroolin, Wondai, Proston and Murgon will reopen from today onwards to welcome visitors to the region. The freecamps were closed in March when COVID-19 restrictions came into force, but are now reopening as part of Stage 2 easing.
Kingaroy RSL Take-Away Meals
- Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street will be reopening for take-away meals between 5:00pm and 7:30pm tonight. The RSL used the lockdown period to completely refurbish its 35-year-old kitchen and will be using it to prepare takeaway meals every Friday and Saturday night from now on until restrictions ease further. Carrollee Hotel Reopens
- Kingaroy's Carrollee Hotel will reopen from noon today under COVID-19 guidelines. Patrons will need to fill in a registration form to access the pub and use the sanitisers provided. After this, they will be directed to a designated area which can safely hold 20 people. The public bar area will only have a maximum of 8 peeople at any one time to adhere to the 4 sq metre rule.
