Proston Community Christmas Carnival
The Proston QCWA will be hosting the annual Proston Community Christmas Carnival from 5:00pm at Railway Park. There’ll be raffles, a sausage sizzle, hot chips, cold drinks, ice cream, coffee, Christmas craft stalls, a jumping castle, carols and Santa! More info? Phone Mellissa on 0448-289-403.
Kumbia Christmas Carnival
- Kumbia's 24th annual Christmas Carnival will be held in and around Kumbia Hall in Bell Street from 4:00pm until about 9:00pm this evening. There'll be market stalls, a licensed bar, raffles, a ham wheel and a sausage sizzle BBQ. Santa will even be paying a visit! There’ll also be a prize for the best Christmas hat and music in the hall. Nanango Christmas Markets
The Nanango Show Society will be holding their monthly Country Markets at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street from 6:00am to around 12:00 noon today. As usual, the markets will feature a wide variety of craft stalls, new and used goods, plants, poultry and pets ... but the Christmas markets are always huge! The Nanango Markets are the largest rural market in south-east Queensland and attract up to 420 stallholders. But new stallholders are always very welcome too! More info? Ringsfield House Open Day - Nanango
- Historic Ringsfield House, 41-45 Alfred Street, Nanango, is hosting an Open Day today! Local artists will be featured in the art gallery from 9:00am to 12:30pm, plus tea and scones will be available on the verandah for $10.00 per person from 9:00am to 11:00am.
Beef It Up, Master It All - Wattle Grove
Come along to the annual gala at The Washpool on Half Mile Creek Road, Wattle Grove, from 5:00pm today, enjoy dinner and listen to local "masters" in their fields. Speakers tonight include Mary O'Brien ("Are you bogged mate?") and Paul and Delvene Woltmann, from Kewpie. There'll be a cash bar and a meal by JC Catering. Paleo Beef Direct Opening - Nanango
- The Paleo Beef Direct butcher shop will holding a Grand Opening party at 1/42 Fitzroy Street, Nanango, from 10:00am to 1:00pm today. There'll be a free sausage sizzle, gourmet sausage testing, prizes and giveaways, kids games and a live broadcast from 89.1FM.
Bookfest, Garage & Plant Sale - Yarraman
Yarraman's Heritage Centre, at 26 Millar Street, will be holding a Bookfest and Garage Sale from 8:00am to 2:00pm today. There'll be heaps of books plus much more! Wildhorse FM will be broadcasting live on the day. There'll also be a sausage sizzle and refreshments will be available. Everyone is welcome!
Christmas BVRT Night Ride
- The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Users Association is holding its annual Night Ride from Yarraman to Linville along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail from 4:00pm this afternoon. This is a fully supported ride with ride marshals and a support vehicle. Tickets can be booked online. A pasta meal, catered by Linville Store and Cafe, will be available for $25 after the ride.
Sing Joy Concert - Nanango
The South Burnett Chorale will be presenting Sing Joy! from 3:00pm this afternoon at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 37 Gipps Street, Nanango. Tickets are $20 (under 12s free) which includes afternoon tea. Tickets can be booked online or bought at the door.
Go Getta Girls - Kingaroy
