Wondai Spring Garden Expo
The first day of the weekend long Wondai Spring Garden Expo will be held at the Wondai Showgrounds from 8:00am to 4:30pm today. The Expo is one of the largest gardening shows of its type in south-east Queensland and always draws hundreds of keen gardeners every September. As well as a huge range of plant and garden-related product displays, the Expo will also feature a number of guest speakers talking on a variety of gardening topics throughout the day. There'll be plenty of food and drink available, too. Admission is $5 per day or a two-day pass for $8 (under 15s free). Tickets for groups of 10 or more cost $4 per person. Wooroolin Country Music Campout
Today is the final day of the four-day Country Music Campout at Wooroolin Memorial Hall on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin. The event features non-stop walk-up artists and bush poets, and everyone is welcome! Today's activities will get under way about 9:00am. Entry is $15 per day or $50 for a four-day pass. More details? Bingo Buzz - Nanango
- Saturday morning bingo will be held today at the Nanango Cultural Centre, on the corner of Drayton and George Streets. Doors open at 10:00am with eyes down at 11:00am. Bring your friends for a fun day playing bingo!
Come & Try Dragon Boating - BP Dam
The Barambah Dragons dragon boat club invites people to try out the ancient Chinese sport of dragon boat racing at Bjelke-Petersen Dam from 9:00am (for a 9:30am paddle-off) on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Paddles and gear will be supplied but participants should wear closed shoes that can tolerate getting wet and bring along sunscreen, water, a towel and warm clothes for afterwards. The event is free and will be followed by a gold coin donation sausage sizzle. Everyone is welcome! NB. Check the club's Facebook page as times could change due to the weather.
Go Getta Girls - Kingaroy
