South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Queensland Touring Film Festival - Nanango
The Nanango Theatre Company will be screening eight international short films that are part of this year's Queensland Touring Film Festival at their playhouse at the corner of Elk and George Streets, Nanango at 3:00pm this afternoon. All the films that will be screened today are PG rated and tickets are $10, which includes tea, coffee and cake. A second set (of M-rated short films) will be screened at a $25 per head wine and cheese night on Tuesday, January 26, and you can read more about both screenings on our website. More details? Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
The Timbertowns Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Hivesville Country Markets
The Hivesville Country Markets will be held at the Hivesville Sports Grounds from 7:00am to around 1:00pm today. These family friendly monthly markets are held on the 4th Sunday of every month and feature a variety of stalls including fresh local farm produce, plants, crafts and lots of food. There'll also be mini auctions running throughout the morning; a prize for the stall decorated in the best Australia Day theme; and there's plenty of free parking in the grounds. Public Meeting - Hivesville
A public meeting will be held at Hivesville's Memorial Park in Main Road (opposite the Hivesville Hotel) at 4:00pm this afternoon to explore the opportunity of creating team outdoor sporting and horse events in the town. Everyone is welcome.
Matthew Wild - Linville
The Linville Hotel in George Street, Linville will have entertainer Matthew Wild performing at lunch and dinner today. There'll also be thong throwing and meat pie eating competitions running at 3:00pm, as well as free camping sites across the road if you plan to stay over.
