South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Proms In The South Burnett - Kingaroy
The inaugural "Proms In The South Burnett" - an afternoon of great music based on the "Last Night of the Proms" broadcast live from London's Albert Hall each year - will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 2:00pm this afternoon. This massive concert will feature more than 100 performers from the Blackbutt Singers, the South Burnett String Ensemble, South Burnett Chorale, Kingaroy High School Choir, Wooroolin Ladies Choir, Sing Australia, South Burnett Women's Choir, the Mouldy Haggis Pipes and Drums, and other combined community choirs. They'll be presenting a feast of popular music with a British and Australian flavour. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for pensioner or students,or $40 per family and can be booked online. Everyone is welcome!
Blackbutt Country Markets
The Blackbutt Lions Country Markets - run on the third Sunday of every month - will be held at Les Muller Park in Hart Street, Blackbutt from 7:00am until around mid-day today. Taromeo Country Music Club Social - Blackbutt
The Taromeo Country Music Club will be holding their final bi-monthly Sunday social for 2019 at the Blackbutt Golf Club in Langton Road, Blackbutt from 10:00am to around 4:00pm today. Entertainment will be provided by the visiting and guest artists. There'll also be multi-draw raffles, a money board, a licensed bar, plenty of food and refreshments and - of course! - lots of great country music and dancing. Admission is still only $5 with bottomless tea or coffee and and free afternoon tea as well. Lunch will also be available for a small charge. Everyone is welcome!
Sunday Bingo - Wondai
Bingo games will be held at the Wondai RSL in Mackenzie Street, Wondai this afternoon, with eyes down from 1:30pm. There will be 3 jackpots and 15 games on offer, and the kitchen will be open for light meals. Proceeds will go to help Wondai RSL veterans. More details? Phone (07) 4168-5297.
Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
The Timbertowns Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. The weekly Kilkivan Railway Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. Lap The Map - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Lions Club will be holding a Lap The Map 5km walk starting at 7:00am this morning from Lions Park in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy (opposite the Peanut Van). The event is a fundraiser for diabetes research and the fee to participate in the walk is just a gold coin donation. Everyone is welcome!
Barambah Bush Camp Ride - Murgon
The South Burnett Mountain Bike Club will be testing out new mountain bike bush trails laid out by the Barambah Bush Caravan Park on Barambah Road at Moffatdale between 7:30am and 9:30am this morning (go into the caravan park for directions). All mountain bike riders are welcome along - just BYO bike and riding gear - and you can get more details by phoning Jason on 0418-881-289.
Sunday Poker - Kingaroy

Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon.
