Huskys Official Opening - Kingaroy
The South Burnett'sd newest eatery Huskys will be holding its official opening today. Huskys is located in the forecourt of the SupaIGA supermarket in Avoca Street, Kingaroy and will be open from 7:00am to 7:00pm, offering a wide range of inexpensive gourmet burgers and sliders; home-made cakes and slices; and tea, coffee and soft drinks.
St Mary's Valedictory Dinner - Kingaroy
Year 12 students from St Mary's Catholic College and their partners will be gathering at Kingaroy Town Hall this evening for their annual end-of-school Valedictory Dinner. Arrivals will start at 5:00pm, and forecourt spectators are very welcome.
National Recycling Week Talk - Goomeri
Goomeri Library in the Moore Street Community Building will be hosting a talk about recycling with a particular emphasis on the Gympie Region from 6:00pm to 7:00pm tonight to mark National Recycling Week. Have you ever wondered what really happens to your recycling? Why Gympie Region residents have a recycling bin? And why there are rules for what should (and should not) be placed in a recycling bin? Coffee & Crafts Morning - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy QCWA will be holding a Coffee & Crafts Morning at their rooms at 122 Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy (just next to the RSL) from 9:00am to around noon today. Ladies are welcome to bring along their crafts, something to share for morning tea and a gold coin donation for charity, and enjoy a relaxed get-together over tea and coffee. Indoor Bowls - Wondai
The Wondai Indoor Bowls Club will be holding its regular Tuesday meeting at the Wondai Town Hall in Mackenzie Street, Wondai at 7:30pm this evening. Three games of 12 ends are played, lasting up to three hours, and playing fees are $3. Anxiety & Depression Workshop - Proston
RHealth and Darling Downs Health will be holding a free "Intro To Anxiety & Depression workshop at the Proston Community Hall in Rodney Street, Proston from 10:00am to 1:00pm today. The workshop will be led by Dr Tim Driscoll, who will be covering a range of topics including what is mental health? what is anxiety and why does it occur?; everyday anxiety versus clinical anxiety; what is depression and why does it occur?; and "feeling down" versus clinical depression. Danny's Diner - Kingaroy
Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough. Alcoholics Anonymous - Nanango
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
