South Burnett Online: About Us
South Burnett Online was originally established by the South Burnett Local
Government Association in September 1999 and first appeared on the Internet
on the 14th March 2000.
The SBLGA was the peak body which represented the former Shires of Nanango,
Rosalie, Kingaroy, Wondai, Murgon and Kilkivan and South Burnett Online was
created to be the official portal for the South Burnett region of Queensland,
Australia.
Our project was supported by SBLGA member councils; by the South Burnett
Tourism Association; by the South Burnett Wine Industry Association; and
by our region's leading industries and organisations.

South Burnett Online was corporatised in January 2001 and we now provide
a wide range of state-of-the-art commercial services to the general public.
These include:
-
-
Web site authoring
South Burnett Online has built sites for a large number of public and private,
commercial and not-for-profit organisations in the South Burnett, North Burnett,
Brisbane and Toowoomba. Many of our web sites have won awards - but we think
the biggest award is that nearly all of them grow to become substantial
assets for our clients.
-
Web site maintenance
In addition to constructing sites, South Burnett Online also offers a
professional site maintenance service which ensures that web sites
are always live, up-to-date and genuinely informative. We do this for a number
of local governments within and outside the South Burnett; a large Queensland
industrial union; and a diverse spread of clients across a range of
industries.
-
Web site hosting
South Burnett Online is a co-owner of eservers pty ltd, one of Australia's
most advanced web hosting companies. Our own web site (and the sites of more
than 200 other organisations) operate on eservers, ensuring that all our
clients have dual aliasing (ie their web sites work with or without the "www"
prefix); full email aliasing (eg: you@yourcompany.com); web site statistics;
SSL ecommerce facilities; cgi-bins to run live databases, shopping carts
and other essential web applications; POP accounts; php; mySQL... in fact
everything our clients need to do anything they want
online. During the latter part of 2003 we also introduced FrontPage
hosting to assist customers who wish to use this software to operate
their web sites.
