Can't Write?
No Problem!

We understand that writing clear and concise English doesn't come easily to
some people. But if you're one of them, don't worry!

Just provide us with the
essential facts we ask for
and we'll do the rest.

Remember, too, that you can't
tell us too much but you
can tell us too little or be
too obscure (especially if
you use jargon and don't
explain what it is).

We want to help you. We've been doing this ever since 2000. So just give us the facts and let us do the promotion for you.

Doing something in the South Burnett? If you are, then you're most welcome to submit your event to What's On In The South Burnett. We'll be happy to help publicise it for you - and this service is 100% free!

Your What's On listing will help you promote your event as widely as possible inside and outside the South Burnett.

Apart from our own online readers, our event listings:

  • Appear in your Council's monthly events calendar on their own web sites (if the event is of a community nature) - sometimes even on their front page!
  • Are broadcast daily on the South Burnett's own community radio stations:
    CrowFM 90.7, K-FM Kingaroy 96.3, K-FM Nanango 87.6 and All-Fm88
  • Are often used as the basis of stories or entertainment listings by local newspapers such as the South Burnett Times, the South Burnett Adviser, the Boyne Bulletin and the Barambah Bulletin
  • Are consulted by tourists who visit the South Burnett's Visitor Information Centres in Nanango, Kingaroy, Wondai and Murgon
  • Are consulted by intending South Burnett visitors on the South Burnett Tourism Online web site, who often plan their trips around some of the special events we list
  • Are looked at by other people planning their own events to make sure they don't conflict with yours - so the earlier you list, the better your chance of "claiming the date"

All entries usually list:
  • What the event is and/or who's running it

  • When and where it's on (with full street addresses - tourists, visitors and new residents may not be familiar with exactly where a venue might be)
  • Outline the main points about what's happening
  • List entry fees or charges if there are any, and then...
  • Provide contact details so that interested people can obtain more information if they need to.

If you're listing in advance of finalising all these details, though, simply let us know and we'll put a brief summary online for you anyway.

This will allow you to notify other people about what you're planning even if the full details won't become clearer until closer to the actual date. Naturally, we'll update your listing later when all the details are fully in place and you tell us about them.

[NB: You need to fill in all fields on the form below to submit an event].
