South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Healthy Communities Breakfast - Kumbia
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a free community breakfast at the Kumbia Community Hall in Bell Street, Kumbia from 7:00am to 9:00am this morning to help launch the Healthy Communities lifestyle program across the region. Healthy Communities is an Australian Government funded initiative designed to promote better eating and exercise and in addition to a free chow-down there'll also be prize giveaways donated by Struddy's Sports World and Sunshine Mitre 10 in Kingaroy; a live broadcast by CROW-FM 90.7; and fun activities as well. Everyone is welcome and you can obtain more information by phoning Healthy Communities Coordinator Kerry Oldfield at the South Burnett Regional Council on (07) 4189-9100. Note: Similar breakfasts will be held at Kingaroy, Wooroolin, Tingoora, Wondai, Murgon and Proston between today and the end of this month.
Monday Evening Bingo - Blackbutt
Bingo games will be held in the Blackbutt Community Hall on the D'Aguilar Highway at Blackbutt from 7:00pm this evening. There'll be 16 games overall as well as two continual jackpots. Everyone is welcome.
South Burnett Youth Choir Sign-On Day - Wondai
The South Burnett Youth Choir will be holding a 2012 Sign On Day at the Lutheran Church Hall in Edward Street, Wondai at 3:45pm (for children aged 8 to 10 years) and again at 4:30pm (for young people aged 10 to 18 years). The South Burnett Youth Choir is open all to all South Burnett children who'd like to learn choral singing and this year it's been selected as the 2012 Regional Partner Choir for the award-winning Voices Of Birralee (conducted by Julie Christiansem OAM), which means that the senior choir will be touring Tasmania in July. Quota Morning Tea - Kingaroy

Healthy Soils Workshop - Tansey
Landcare South-East Burnett will be holding a Healthy Soils Workshop for primary producers at the Tansey Bowls Club off the Burnett Highway at Tansey from 8:00am to 5:30pm today. The workshop is based on the highly-regarded Grazing For Profit School and will focus on the strong link between how livestock can be managed to improve the health of land and the profitability of business. Workshop participants will also be eligible to apply for a grant of up to $3,000 to implement on-ground activities identified at the workshop. The workshop itself is free but places are limited. Cards & Bowls Afternoon - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be holding their regular Monday afternoon indoor bowls and cards competitions at their centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy (opposite Super IGA) from 1:00pm onwards today. Mixma Self Defence Course Sign-On - Kingaroy
A new Mixma self defence course will be held at the Satellite Cinema's squash courts in Short Street, Kingaroy at 6:40pm tonight (and also at the same time and place on Thursday nights).
