Queensland Winter Craft Festival - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery in Haly Street, Kingaroy (opposite the peanut silos) will be officially opening its two-month Queensland Winter Craft Festival at 5:00pm to 7:00pm this evening. The Gallery will be hosting different exhibitions each month along with a raft of workshops and courses in many different aspects of craft. The June exhibitions are "From the Mountains to the Sea” by the Pine Rivers Potters, and "Happiness Is A Garden" by Lyn Kenny. After tonight's opening, the exhibitions can be viewed from 10:00am to 4:00pm Mondays to Thursdays and 9:00am to 1:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays until the end of the month, when the Winter Craft Festival's second exhibition will be unveiled. Everyone is welcome!
Questacon Science Circus - Kingaroy
Questacon – the National Science and Technology Centre based in Canberra – is bringing its special pop-up science centre back to the South Burnett today. the Science Circus will be at Kingaroy Town Hall from 10:00am to 4:00pm for parents and children to explore science and have fun with a range of hands-on exhibits. Saturday Night Bingo - Kingaroy

Three Little Pigs - Blackbutt
The Blackbutt Theatre Group will be presenting their version of the fairytale,"The 3 Little Pigs versus The Big Bad Wolf", from 2:30pm this afternoon at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall, Bowman Road (doors open 2:00pm). Tickets are just $20 per person which includes a glass of wine and nibblies. Tickets can be bought at the Blackbutt Post Office. Funds raised will go towards the proposed Blackbutt Timber Heritage Centre.
Yarraman Holistic Markets

Seafood Smorgasbord - Wondai
Dimities Cottage at 49 Haly Street in Wondai will be holding another of their all-you-can-eat Seafood Smorgasbords from 6:00pm this evening (dinner starts at 6:30pm). The buffet features all your favourite hot and cold seafoods, as well as non-seafood dishes, garden-fresh salads, home-made sweets, tea and coffee. Saturday Library Day - Maidenwell
- The volunteers from the Maidenwell QCWA will be supervising the regular weekly Saturday Library Day (featuring books loaned from Kingaroy Library) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. A library day is held in the Maidenwell Hall in Pool Street every Wednesday and Saturday.
Senior Soccer - Kingaroy
Kingaroy Senior Soccer Club will be hosting their fourth home games of the season today at their grounds at Tom Alford Oval in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy. Kingaroy’s Division 1 team will take on Wests Wanderers at 5:00pm, followed by the Division 2 game between Kingaroy and Wests Wanderers at 7:00pm. The canteen will be open and spectators are invited to come along and support the local teams in action!
Disney Trivia Night - Linville

Tony Turton Memorial Morning
A community celebration to mark the life of the late Tony Turton will be held from 11:00am this morning at the Kumbia Memorial Hall. The much-loved former Kumbia resident owned and operated the Kumbia Engineering Works with the late Wally Thamm for more than 30 years, but is also well-known for his amazing, and often poignant, cartoons which graced the pages in recent years of the Kumbia Party Line (and other publications). Craft A Clay Cow - Kingaroy

The Nanango Stags will be hosting junior rugby league games in Under 6s through to Under 12s at Fred Kassulke Oval from 8:00am today, coinciding with their annual Old Boys Day. The South Burnett Eagles Under 15/16s will also be in action at noon against Stanthorpe. Two Under 14s games are also scheduled: 4:00pm, Nanango v Chinchilla; and at 5:00pm, Kingaroy v Murgon. The South Burnett Race Club will be holding their annual Duff Memorial Race Meeting at the Wondai race track in Baynes Street today. Today's trackside action will feature five races, an on-course TAB; live telecasts of interstate races and interstate betting fluctuations; a vigorous undercover betting ring; a great BBQ and bar. Junior Motorcycle Speedway - Kingaroy
- CANCELLED The weather has played havoc with the Kingaroy Junior Motorcycle Speedway Club's schedule this year so the "Junior Bees" will be hoping everything goes to plan today! The club will be hosting a triple header day (Club Days 1, 2 and 3) on the main oval of Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy (but use the Avoca Street entrance) with racing from around 10:00am through until early this afternoon.
