63rd Annual Cooyar Show
The 63rd Annual Cooyar Show will be held at the Cooyar Showgrounds on Rangemore Road in Cooyar from 8:00am this morning through until very late tonight. The Cooyar Show marks the start of the South Burnett's agricultural show season and it's always a really great family day out. Special attractions at this year's event include a PBR Rodeo, Poley Buck Jumping and the world premiere performance of Rooftop Express. There'll also be a full day of entertainment for the whole family including 5-for-$5 amusement rides, face painting for the kids, a big chainsaw competition, market stalls, show bags and music, as well as the usual hotly-contested horse, stud beef and pavilion programs. The afternoon will also feature Poddy Rides and Mutton Bustin' and everything will be capped off by the traditional Giant Fireworks Display at about 9:00pm. A licensed bar will be operating throughout the day and the Show's well-stocked food canteen and BBQ is guaranteed to satisfy any hunger pangs. A particular highlight will be the Show's official opening by ABC announcer Craig Zonca at 12:30pm. Entry to this year's Cooyar Show is still just $15 for adults and $5 for high school students (primary school aged children are free) and everyone is welcome along! Bowls Club Bingo - Kingaroy

Blackbutt Tourism and Heritage Cent Auction
- A Cent Auction will be held at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt today as a fundraiser for the Blackbutt Tourism and Heritage committee. Doors open at 8:00am for a 10:00am start and admission is a slim $5 (which includes 2 free sheets and a great morning tea). Wondai Country Markets
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery's popular, getting-bigger-every-month Wondai Country Markets will be operating in Coronation Park in the Wondai CBD from 7:00am to 12:00 noon today. Today's markets will feature (amongst any other things) stallholders selling fresh fruit and vegetables, arts and crafts, useful knick-knacks and clothing. There'll also be live entertainment; lots and lots of other stalls selling great gifts and goodies; and the Wondai Kindergarten's BBQs firing up from 6:45am to dish out hearty breakfasts to early bargain hunters.
