Healthy Communities Breakfast - Tingoora
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a free community breakfast at Reg McCallum Park in Nanango from 7:00am to 9:00am this morning to help launch the Healthy Communities lifestyle program across the region. Healthy Communities is an Australian Government funded initiative designed to promote better eating and exercise and in addition to a free chow-down there'll also be prize giveaways donated by Struddy's Sports World and Sunshine Mitre 10 in Kingaroy; a live broadcast by CROW-FM 90.7; and fun activities as well. Note: Similar breakfasts will be held at Wondai, Murgon and Proston between today and the end of this month.
Endeavour Foundation Bingo - Kingaroy

Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. Everyone is most welcome (including non-members) and green fees are $11 for members or $14 for non-members for the nine holes - but this also includes a card draw for prizes in the clubhouse in the evening (there's also a Jackpot card draw on the last Friday of each month). Friday Night Dinner & Social Darts - Nanango
- The Nanango and District Darts Association will be holding their regular Friday night social darts games at their club house at the end of George Street, Nanango from 7:15pm onwards this evening. They'll also be offering inexpensive home-cooked dinners from 6:30pm if you want to chow down beforehand (but please phone the club on (07) 4163-1677 to book a seat). The club's licenced bar will be operating too, and both visitors and potential new members are very welcome.

Blue Light Disco - Murgon
The first Murgon Blue Light Disco for primary school age children for 2012 will be held at the Diggers Rooms in the Murgon Services Club in Lamb Street, Murgon between 6:30pm and 8:30pm this evening. The $4 admission fee includes a hot dog dinner and there'll be some great prizes to be won as well. Blue Light discos are drug, alcohol and tobacco free and are fully supervised by local police, Apexians, Lions and other volunteers. Burrandowan Campdraft
- The first day of the annual Burrandowan Campdraft will be held at the Burrandowan Race Track 60km south-west of Kingaroy from 1:00pm this afternoon through until the evening. The Campdraft is a fund-raiser for the Burrandowan Picnic Races and this afternoon's action will focus on the Hugh Downes Memorial Novice Draft. Admission to the Campdraft is 100% free for spectators and open-air camping facilities, hot showers, power and a limited number of horse stalls are available onsite. A fully licensed bar and canteen will be operating over the entire weekend.
