South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Healthy Communities Breakfast - Wooroolin
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a free community breakfast at Wooroolin State School in Wooroolin from 7:00am to 9:00am this morning to help launch the Healthy Communities lifestyle program across the region. Healthy Communities is an Australian Government funded initiative designed to promote better eating and exercise and in addition to a free chow-down there'll also be prize giveaways donated by Struddy's Sports World and Sunshine Mitre 10 in Kingaroy; a live broadcast by CROW-FM 90.7; and fun activities as well. Everyone is welcome and you can obtain more information by phoning Healthy Communities Coordinator Kerry Oldfield at the South Burnett Regional Council on (07) 4189-9100. Note: Similar breakfasts will be held at Tingoora, Wondai, Murgon and Proston between today and the end of this month.
Nanango Show Society Meeting
The Nanango Show Society will be holding its regular second Monday of the month meeting at the Showgrounds in Cairns Street, Nanango at 7:30pm this evening. KCCI Meet & Greet - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be holding the first of their regular 6-weekly Meet & Greets for 2012 at the Endeavour Biscuit Kitchen at 17 Kingaroy Street in Kingaroy from 5:30pm onwards this evening. Tonight's meeting will feature a guided tour by Endeavour's Hazel Patterson of the recently installed commercial kitchen, the gluten free kitchen and an overview of the meaningful employment that Endeavour offers to South Burnett residents with a disability; a talk by new South Burnett Regional Council CEO Ken McLoughlin about his vision for the Council; an update on "South Burnett Exposed - Business and Lifestyle Expo" being held on the 13th-15th April at the Kingaroy Town Hall & Forecourt by SBRC Economic Development Officer Phil Harding; and an open floor segment (2 minute time limit) for any local business representative to take advantage and update the broader business community on new initiatives, products or activities that are happening locally. There's a $10 admission charge to cover drinks and nibbles, but everyone is welcome (and an RSVP is always appreciated to assist with catering). More details? Kingaroy Quota Club Meeting

Monday Evening Bingo - Blackbutt
Bingo games will be held in the Blackbutt Community Hall on the D'Aguilar Highway at Blackbutt from 7:00pm this evening. There'll be 16 games overall as well as two continual jackpots. Everyone is welcome.
Cards & Bowls Afternoon - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be holding their regular Monday afternoon indoor bowls and cards competitions at their centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy (opposite Super IGA) from 1:00pm onwards today.
