Healthy Communities Breakfast - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a free community breakfast at the Dr Ellen-Kent Hughes Forecourt in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 7:00am to 9:00am this morning to help launch the Healthy Communities lifestyle program across the region. Healthy Communities is an Australian Government funded initiative designed to promote better eating and exercise and in addition to a free chow-down there'll also be prize giveaways donated by Struddy's Sports World and Sunshine Mitre 10 in Kingaroy; a live broadcast by CROW-FM 90.7; and fun activities as well. Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. Everyone is most welcome (including non-members) and green fees are $11 for members or $14 for non-members for the nine holes - but this also includes a card draw for prizes in the clubhouse in the evening (there's also a Jackpot card draw on the last Friday of each month). Friday Night Dinner & Social Darts - Nanango
- The Nanango and District Darts Association will be holding their regular Friday night social darts games at their club house at the end of George Street, Nanango from 7:15pm onwards this evening. They'll also be offering inexpensive home-cooked dinners from 6:30pm if you want to chow down beforehand (but please phone the club on (07) 4163-1677 to book a seat). The club's licenced bar will be operating too, and both visitors and potential new members are very welcome.
Endeavour Foundation Bingo - Kingaroy

Junior Blue Light Disco - Kingaroy
The first bi-monthly Junior Blue Light Disco for 2012 will be held at the Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 6:00pm to 8:30pm this evening. Entry to the Junior Disco is restricted to young people aged 14 and below who can produce their student ID, and in addition to a fun night out tonight's disco will also have some great prizes to be won as well. Admission is $5 and - as usual - attendees are asked to remember that Blue Light Discos are drug, alcohol, chewing gum and tobacco free and no passouts or early exit will be given without parental permission and/or collection.
