25th February 2010: Hello everyone! This coming
Saturday 13th March the South Burnett will be holding it's much-loved
Autumn festival: the 12th annual
Wine &
Food In The Park Festival at Memorial Park in
Kingaroy.
Wine & Food In The Park is now the biggest Festival in the South
Burnett Regional Council's area and the second biggest in the South
Burnett as a whole (next to the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival).
And we're very proud to have been part of the Wine & Food In The
Park Festival Committee for the last 9 years, helping to bring this
great event to life each year and slowly building it into a major event that we
can all be genuinely proud of (so proud, in fact, that many people now hold annual
reunions for their friends and family there).
This year's Wine & Food In The Park has a great line-up of top
entertainment; fantastic wines; mouth-watering foods;
jaw-dropping cooking demonstrations by David Pugh and the team
from Brisbane's famous Restaurant II in the annual PCA Regional Cuisine
Cook-Offs; a brand new South Burnett Food Producers stand selling
$10 platters of local gourmet finger foods to die for; and even an Art Exhibition.
But what this Festival is really all about is saying "to
heck with the world" for a day, relaxing under the trees and enjoying
the things that really matter in all our lives: good food,
good wine and the wonderful company of the people who matter most to us. So we
hope we see you there too!
