21st April 2008: Hello everyone! Amazing but 100% true:
South Burnett Online turned
8 years old last month. And when we did
we also recorded our
biggest March traffic figures ever: a
whopping
80,742 visitors! (which is waaaay, waaaay up from the
315 visitors who came to see us in our first month online back in
March 2000; or even the
69,515 visitors who dropped by to say "Hi!"
in March last year)
But April looks like being even bigger. According to our web server
statistics, we're on target to record close to 95,000 visitors this
month - a sure sign that our region's tourism season is now well underway.
And one way or another, this sort of traffic now makes us the South Burnett's
very own million+ visitors a year website.
Because of this, we're taking two weeks off for a long-overdue but
(we hope you'll agree!) well deserved holiday. And when we return
in early May we're going to be starting a rollout of brilliant new online
services for you that our region has never seen before.
We can't say any more than this at the moment. But you can expect a lot more
of our "Something Great For 2008" series. Quite a lot more.
And there'll be a few real jaw-droppers amongst them that only a truly
home-grown, 100% South Burnett born and bred one-million-visitors-a-year web site can provide for you.
Thankyou everyone for all your support over the last 8 years. See you
again real soon!
